Grief doesn’t ask for grand gestures; it asks for honesty. We explore a grounded way to honor someone you love by crafting a personal day of remembrance built around small, sincere rituals that actually fit your life. Instead of performative milestones, we focus on simple practices—favorite recipes, treasured songs, a quiet walk, a single candle—that turn memory into ongoing connection and help you heal without rushing the process.

Together, we map out how to choose a meaningful date, set an intention, and weave in passions that reflect who they were. You’ll hear practical examples for every kind of remembrance: cooking their go-to dish while sharing photos, planting flowers in their color, curating a playlist that grows each year, or writing a letter that captures the details of the day. We also talk about inviting family to contribute one short memory, using a scrapbook to track stories over time, and letting the ritual stay light or expand as your capacity changes. The message is simple: choose memory over extravagance, presence over pressure, and let love guide the plan.

If loss is fresh, you’ll find gentle, flexible entry points—one song, one candle, one breath of fresh air. If you’re further along, we offer ways to deepen the tradition so legacy keeps flourishing in your daily life. By the end, you’ll have a clear framework for a remembrance day that feels true to you and true to them, with tools you can repeat each year to support steady, compassionate healing.

It is a bestseller. And with this series, we're going to reveal your strength, reclaiming your confidence, and rising into the best version of yourself. So let's dive in. On my website, I do have a quick list or survey. I hope you can take it and complete it. It has some feedback that you can give me about future episodes or better content. If I did not shout out your state, please let me know. But hopefully, I did share with everyone thanks for your support and kindness and love throughout the years and for supporting me. So with chapter three, we're going to talk about treasuring our beloved. So in honoring their memory, it has three essential messages in the front. Create a special day of remembrance, incorporate their passions, and some establishing some rituals and sharing memories. So with creating their special day, maybe you're thinking about the birthdays, the anniversary to honor your love for them. That day can be shared with family, friends, or kept personal, and you're going to focus on the emotional connection rather rather than the extravagances. Incorporate their passions, you're going to reflect on your loved ones' interests and passions when planning that day, whether it's their favorite meal, spending time, or making the celebration more meaningful, and establish some rituals and some memories, including lighting a candle, sharing some stories, maybe a scrapbook, and it really fosters that deep connection with others. And on this special day, make sure you make it meaningful. It can be a birthday, anniversary, or the passing date which holds some significance to you. This occasion, remember, is not about sharing moments, it's about the spirit that you live in. If you remember their favorite meals, a dish, something that you can have with you. You can share stories or photos while you're cooking that will really fill it with love. And practice honors their memories and help incorporate their legacy into your life. Ongoing celebration, remember the emotional connection that's very genuine on that special day each year. You can celebrate it with other loved ones and transforming that cheerage for both of you and holding it dear to you. Just make it really remembrance for you and honoring. You can think about if they love gardening, cooking, the type of music really incorporating that into your day. Examples can be spending a time in late in nature, planting some flowers with their favorite colors, preparing one recipes with family and friends, and even sometimes a candlelight that can be their memory, sharing stories, creating a scrapbook or photo album really celebrates life, but by dedicating that to them and celebrating spirit for that deeper connection, it can be very beautiful in keeping their memory alive, and even their legacy continues to flourish in your lives, and spending that time sharing stories is awesome. Old photographs, even writing a letter expressing your thoughts and feelings will be great, and it can be meaningful to keep their memory alive by lifting up your spirits, and ultimately the choice is yours, whether you decide or ensure that it's sincere, a beautiful way to celebrate life and the impact that had on you, and the healing can begin with expression, too. So that is part of the book. Now, with the workbook, again, it's a chance where you can honor your loved one. You want to make it meaningful, whether you write down that date where you honor your loved one with the birthday of meaningful date, reflection on passions, identify their passions, activities, hobbies, interests, at least three, if you can, or maybe one. Activities. What activities are you going to plan for that day? Maybe listen to some music, a favorite dish, or just being outside, maybe even taking off that time to relax that day. You can incorporate some rituals, the candlelighting, sharing stories, a scrapbook, or just a memory of that day in particular. You can write a letter, sharing a memory. You know, you want to take that time to write down your feelings in that letter or describe a cherished moment on that day. Maybe it was a day it was raining outside, or it was a day that was not a good day for you, or it was sunny out. So, really, how do you hope this day will impact you and those who will be there with you when you're celebrating that day? Maybe their birthday, the day that they passed away, that can be something special that you share for that day because you can make it meaningful for you. So, with this episode, you can share this podcast with others, help them listen to the podcast and make it meaningful.
